”This is Emmanuel Chukwuebuka Nnanna , a Jss 1 student at Dennis Memorial Grammar School Onitsha, A native of Oburo Ogwa in mbaitoli LGA, Imo state. He died on Tuesday 12th February 2019 by a large stone thrown to crush his head from the school dormitory window by his fellow envious student. This happened after school hours, the victim was said to finished eating in the school cafeteria, fetched water with his gallon kept the water in his corner and came outside to play football. He met two students playing football, asked if he can join them and the two boys playing the football told him to wait for they are playing turn by turn.
While waiting and watching them a mischievous student carried a large stone they used to hold the dormitory door, targeted the victim from upstairs and hit the large stone on his head. The victim fell down immediately and become unconscious. The two boys playing the football carried him to the school clinic, there was no equipment to handle his case there so one of the clinic attendance carried him out the school gate and started looking for keke, he got one took him to general hospital Onitsha where no treatment was given to him. They later took him to iyi enu hospital when he has already bled to death. While all these was going on, they did not contact his father, Kanayo hospital and other private hospitals are very close to DMGS, instead of them to take him there as his case is emergency, they rushed him to general and then far away iyi enu because it’s Anglican hospital.

Just like that an innocent boy that lost his mother when he was only three years, a super intelligent boy with multiple talent died because of his fellow students envy and school management carelessness.

RIP junior blood.”

Archbishop drowns in presence of Church members during Baptism in S/Africa

A South African archbishop identified as, Andries Moeti drowned during a baptism, leading to the death of the 36-year-old cleric.

The leader of New Heaven Apostolic Church in Marobjane Village, Limpopo, South Africa drowned in front of church members who were queueing up to be baptised.

When people realised the archbishop had been under water for a while, they screamed for help as they were afraid to go in and rescue him.

His mum, Elisa Moeti (60), told our source it was hard for church members and his family to accept Andries’ death.

“We are still shocked because he always went to the stream to pray and baptise people. He would go into the water for a minute before letting his congregants go in for prayers. “I believe his death was God’s will because those who were there when he drowned told us the incident was mysterious,” said Elisa.

His dad, James Seshoka (57), said it was a sad moment when the search and rescue unit recovered his body from the water. Church members were fainting and crying.

The archbishop will be laid to rest in Marobjane tomorrow. He leaves behind his wife and three children.

Elisa, who worked closely with her son, said she would look after the church and his family.

Yahoo Search Engine suggests that Buhari is a clone

Yahoo has also suggested that the ‘present’ President Buhari is an impostor in a new post they shared on social media page. Unverified reports had been circulating on social media for months that Mr Buhari had died last year and was replaced by a lookalike from Sudan called Jubril.
“I can assure you all that this is the real me. Later this month I will celebrate my 76th birthday. And I’m still going strong!” Mr Buhari told Nigerians in a town hall session in Poland, where he was attending a conference. “One of the questions that came up today in my meeting with Nigerians in Poland was on the issue of whether I‘ve been cloned or not. “The ignorant rumours are not surprising — when I was away on medical vacation last year a lot of people hoped I was dead,” Mr Buhari said. However just like Washington Post, Yahoo also suggested that President Buhari’s statement which denied the rumour is just what a clone will say.

I went on exile for 13 years, says Pastor Enoch Adeboye

The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye said that he ran away from his village for 13 years to avoid being murdered by his kinsmen. He made the disclosure on Monday — the first day of the 2018 Holy Ghost Congress at the Redemption Camp.

Preaching about the power of God’s light over the darkness of evil forces, he disclosed that in the early 1960s, he ran away from Ifewara, then a village in Osun state, where he was born and raised because his father’s enemies threatened to kill him – an only son.

He said after 13 years in exile, during which he gave his life to Jesus Christ and was filled with the light that overpowers the forces of darkness, he went back to Ifewara, and nothing happened to him.

Said he,
“There was a misunderstanding between my father and other members of the family over the issue of which party to belong to and the people in the family threatened to kill me.

“When my father came home to tell us what transpired at the meeting, I ran away from home for 13 years till I met the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank God for Jesus.”

He also spoke of how he had sought superior charms to counter the forces in his village.
“While in exile, it occurred to me that if the village people claimed they had charms to kill me, there could be superior charms elsewhere. Somebody took me to a village, somewhere not too far from Akure, Ondo state. They took me to the head herbalist there and I told him I wanted to be fortified so that nobody would be able to harm me.

“No problem, I will fortify you!” he said.

“He listed the requirements and told me the total cost. That was not a problem because I had the money to pay. He performed all kinds of rituals and kept on insisting I come back and get more. Then one day, the juju man looked at me and asked, “What is the name of that your town where they say you shouldn’t go back to?”

I told him.

“Ah!” he shouted. “You are from that place?”

I said, “Yes sir.”

He said, “If they ask you not to come, don’t go”.

“What are you talking about?” I asked.

“Let me tell you the truth. My father was the chief herbalist in this village, his grandfather was the chief herbalist before him and he inherited everything from them. When my father was taught everything he knew, he sent me to your village to get more powers.

“Whenever I was visiting your village, before I got to the outskirts, I would go into the bush to bury everything and then when I am going back, I would go back into the bush to pick it up. Any power you take into that village will turn to water as soon as you enter.

“I was surprised to hear all that because I thought I had been fortified. If you put your trust in the devil, not only will you die but you will die miserably.

“For a long time, I kept running from home until I met Jesus. When I did, my flight from home stopped. Praise God that the forces of darkness that hitherto put me to flight now take to their heels when they see me because I now carry the Lord inside of me.”

INEC embarks on ‘Road Show’ for PVCs collection in Imo state

Irked by the huge number PVCs yet to be collected by their owners in Imo state, officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Imo state chapter, has embarked on a road walk on the major streets of Owerri in a bid to sensitize the people on the need to collect their Permanent Voters Cards.

Addressing members of the press shortly before the commencement of the road walk today, Professor Ezeonu said that “in accordance with sections 19 and 20 of the electoral act 2010 as amended, the commission has approved that in preparation for the 2019 general elections, the national register of voters will be displayed at all polling units in the country between Tuesday 6th November to Monday 12th November 2018 as directed

He further said that the exercise is meant to address the removal of ineligible voters, including deceased registered voters, non-Nigerians, registrants with blurred pictures, underage voters and multiple registrations, adding that hearing of claims and objections shall be at the Registration Area centers within the same period.

He said Permanent Voters Cards will be available for collection at the Registration Area centers within the same period.  According to him, submission of claims and objections and collection of PVCs at RA levels will start by 9am to 4 pm each day and will last for only 7 days, weekend inclusive.
Said he, “ It is regretful that we still have a lot of unclaimed PVCs still in our custody. Out of over 380,000 cards of 2011 and 2014 registrants released to us at the beginning of the continuous voter registration exercise in April 2017, about 343, 742 are yet to be claimed. Again. Out of 72, 237 cards received in respect of those who registered in 2017, about 49, 252 are yet to be collected. Just recently, we received another batch of 110, 627 PVCs for people who registered in the first quarter of 2018, and only a paltry number, 396, has so far been collected in the last three weeks. Altogether a total of 500, 525 PVCs are yet to be collected in Imo state as at 29th October 2018”.
Ezeonu called all registered voters who have not collected their PVCs to take advantage of INEC’s deployment to Registration Areas to do so, adding that they should go to the RAs where they registered with their temporary voters card to collect their Permanent Voters Card.
He said that the commission will ensure that the process of collection is simplified with minimum inconvenience to the citizens of the state and warned that no person will be allowed to vote with temporary voters card and also, no person will be allowed to collect his or her PVC by proxy.

85-year-old Cameroonian President, Paul Biya, re-elected for the 7th term

Cameroonian president, Paul Biya has been re-elected for the 7th term in office. He won re-election bid with 71% of the vote, the constitutional council has announced, extending his 36-year rule and cementing his place as one of Africa’s longest-serving rulers. The widely-expected win, announced on Monday, gives the 85-year-old a seventh term in office and could see him in power until at least the age of 92. The only current African president to have ruled longer is Equatorial Guinea’s Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
Most Cameroonians have known just one president. Victory in the 7 October election came amid claims from opposition candidates that the election was marred by fraud, including ballot stuffing and voter intimidation. The constitutional council rejected all 18 petitions claiming fraud last week. In addition, violence connected to a separatist movement in the western anglophone regions forced tens of thousands to flee in the lead-up to the vote, and kept the vast majority there from casting their ballot. The announcement follows two weeks of political tension in the coffee and oil-producing country, during which Biya’s leading rival Maurice Kamto claimed victory based on his campaign’s figures, and as police tried to silence opposition marches in the port city of Douala. Monday’s official results showed Kamto won 14% of the vote. Biya won with a big margin in nine of the 10 regions. In the South and East regions he won over 90% of the vote.
Authorities have defended the process.
“The election was free, fair and credible in spite of the security challenges in the English-speaking regions,” said the president of constitutional council, Clement Atangana, on Monday.

Coca cola set to launch cannabis drink world-wide

Coca-Cola is said to be close to a deal that could see it infuse cans of soft drink with cannabis.

The US giant is said to be in ‘serious’ discussions with a cannabis producer as it looks to grab a slice of the burgeoning marijuana market.
A deal with the firm, Aurora Cannabis, could lead to Coca-Cola selling drinks infused with marijuana, which is said to have health benefits such as easing inflammation, pain and cramping.
The conglomerate is likely to use cannabidiol, known as CBD, to develop the drinks. CBD is the non-psychoactive ingredient found in cannabis that is said to help ease pain but without the buzz or high some users seek.
According to US-based Bloomberg news, sources close to negotiations said Coca-Cola and Aurora are ‘pretty advanced down the path’ of doing a deal. ‘It’s going to be more of a recovery drink,’ the source added.
If Coca-Cola seals a contract with Aurora it would be the first major soft drinks firm to make a move into the marijuana market.
Canada is set to legalise the recreational use of cannabis next month as more states across the US make it legal.

"You're suffering from madness", ex-president Jonathan tells Oshiomhole

Following the claim by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, that former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, started vote buying in Nigeria, the ex-president has said that Oshiomhole’s fragile psychological state has reached a boiling point.

The Chairman of APC had while featuring on a Channels Television programme, ‘Roadmap’, was quoted to have said: “President Jonathan started this massive vote buying in Nigeria and the media must playback and do proper interview and investigation to discover the origin of vote buying.”

However, while responding through a statement issued by his media aide, Ikechukwu Eze, titled: ‘Oshiomhole: The burden of blame game and tumultuous leadership’, the former president said Oshiomhole was currently operating under tremendous stress in a bid to steady the already floundering ship of his administration.
Jonathan stressed that as the new leader of his party, he might have got himself entangled in a voyage of tactless desperation.
He stated:
Quote
“Our attention has been drawn to a media report in which the national Chairman of APC, Oshiomhole, was alleged to have claimed that President Jonathan started vote buying in Nigeria.
“His recent flip flops where he praised Governor Samuel Ortom and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso one day only to denounce them the next day, is enough evidence of his fragile psychological state.

“Not only is he contented on squabbling with members of the opposition, we note the self-destructive tendencies of Oshiomhole who is locked in a feud with members of his own party, including the Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige, and a host of APC governors. It appears that Oshiomhole’s psychological strain may have reached boiling point.”

Jonathan added that when juxtaposing the above statement with Oshiomhole’s current statement, it becomes obvious that the APC chairman is suffering from “multiple personality syndrome and has a Jekyll and Hyde schizophrenia.”

On the vexatious issue of ‘vote-buying’, which has unfortunately found its way into the country’s election lexicon, Jonathan pointed out that it was obvious that the shameful development in the democratic experience became very glaring during the 2016 gubernatorial elections in Edo State, an exercise that took place more than one year after he had left office.

He noted:
Quote
“It is therefore deceitful for any politician or group to link the former president with the anomaly, no matter how they want to stretch the now-failing blame game.

“While in office as president between 2010 and 2015, Jonathan conducted many elections including the 2011 and 2015 general election, and many off-season gubernatorial and parliamentary elections in some states like Anambra, Ekiti, Ondo and Edo, and not for once did the issue of vote buying come up in the assessment of those elections.”

368,000 PVCs yet to be collected in Imo, says INEC

Professor Francis Egeonu in group photo with members of OMPAN

The Resident Electoral Commissioner for Imo state, Professor Francis Chukwuemeka Ezeonu, has said that there are about 368,000 PVCs yet to be collected by their owners in Imo, a development which he described as worrisome.
Ezeonu made this known when members of Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN), paid him a courtesy visit in his office yesterday.
Speaking during the occasion, Ezeonu said “INEC has stopped all other exercise except the collection of PVCs and collection of PVCs will continue until one week to the election.”
According to him, INEC may consider the option of stopping people from going into the polling booth with their mobile phones because incidents have been recorded whereby some voters use their phones to photograph the ballot paper after thumb-printing so as to use it as a ‘meal ticket’ to obtain money from politicians. He said INEC is also considering the option of increasing the distance from the registration point to the polling booth so as to make it difficult for a voter to show other people the information on his ballot paper.
He said some politicians are in the habit of cloning other peoples PVCs so as to vote multiple times, adding that such PVCs cannot be authenticated by INEC’s card reader. He said that out of all the countries in Africa, it is only Namibia that is practicing electronic voting and expressed optimism that “Nigeria will get there some day”.
According to him, ”INEC will make use of Registration Area Camps (RAC) because it is not possible to deliver the election materials on the election day from the Local Government to all the polling units before 8 o’clock in the morning”. He said INEC will make use of halls and designated schools located close to the polling units where the election materials and the INEC ad hoc staffs will pass the night so as to ensure that the officials and the materials get to the polling units before 8am on election day. He said this method was used during the Ekiti governorship election and it worked perfectly well, adding that the vehicles which deployed the election materials were closely monitored such that if a particular vehicle stops at a place for up to 10 minutes, it will trigger off an alarm.

He expressed his intention to partner with members of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN) in the areas of media and publicity ahead of the 2019 general election.
He said he did not know that OMPAN had been established otherwise he would have reached out to the association long ago, adding that he met with the members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) within the first month of his assumption of office in Imo state.

Earlier, the Imo state chairman of OMPAN, Mr. Ebere Inyama said they were at INEC office to establish a working relationship with INEC and to offer the electoral umpire an opportunity to make use of credible online platforms in the process disseminating information to the general public in the months ahead.
Adding her voice, INEC’s H.O.D, General Administration and Procurement, Dr. (Mrs) Ann Ihenonu urged members of OMPAN to publish news and information that can make the youths in Nigeria to be positive minded.
In a closing remark, the OMPAN PRO for Imo state, Mr. Franklin Uzowuru assured the Imo state REC that the new partnership between INEC and OMPAN will be of immense benefit to all Nigerians.
Nine members of OMPAN were present at the occasion, including the OMPAN Secretary for Imo state, Miss Jennifer Mbonu and the Assistant National Organizing Secretary for OMPAN, Mr. Hardy Nwadike.
Also present at the occasion is the Head of Electoral Operations Department for INEC, Dr. Fidelis OUguru, H.O.D, Voter Education Publicity, Mr. Sunday Adedoyin, The INEC Accountant, Pastor Chijioke Chukwuigwe, the H.O.D, Voter Registry and ICT, Mr. Ray Ofuonye and the PRO Mrs Emmanuella Opara

How the CIA assassinated Bob Marley: Shocking confessions of ex-CIA hitman

Bill Oxley, {L} and Bob Marley (R)

Ex-agent of America’s Central Intelligence Agency (CIA),79-year-old Bill Oxley, has confessed that he killed bob marley, the reggae legend.
Marley tragically died aged only 36-years-old, following a four-year battle with cancer.

According to a report by the Daily Star,Oxley is alleged to have claimed the murder of Marley among 17 other assassinations for the American government between 1974 and 1985, at a time when he said the CIA “was a law unto itself.”

Oxley, who reportedly worked as an operative for the CIA for 29 years, is alleged to have said he was often used as a hitman on targets deemed to “represent a threat to the interests of the United States.”

In a purported interview shared widely online, he admitted having no problem with proceeding with the Bob Marley assassination because

“I was a patriot, I believed in the CIA, and I didn’t question the motivation of the agency – I’ve always understood that sometimes sacrifices have to be made for the greater good.”

According to the conspiracy theory, Oxley used faked press credentials to gain access to Bob Marley at his Blue Mountain retreat; introducing himself as a famous photographer working for the New York Times, and gave Bob Marley a gift.

“I gave him a pair of Converse All Stars. Size 10. When he tried on the right shoe, he screamed out ‘OUUUCH.‘

“That was it. His life was over right there and then. The nail in the shoe was tainted with cancer viruses and bacteria. If it pierced his skin, which it did, it was goodnight nurse.”

“There had been a series of high-profile assassinations of counter-culture figures in the United States in the late sixties, early seventies. By the time Bob Marley’s time came around, we thought subtlety was the order of the day. No more bullets and splattered brains.”

Mr. Oxley says he kept close contact with Marley during the final years of his life, ensuring the medical advice he received in Paris, London and the United States “would hasten his demise rather than cure him.”

“The last time I saw Bob before he died he had removed the dreadlocks, and his weight was dropping like a stone,” he says.

“He was very withdrawn, unbelievably small. He was shrinking in front of us. The cancer had done it’s job.”

Although widely dismissed as fiction, the account does tally with findings by UK scientists in 2014, who discovered the mysterious acral melanomas – the rare type of skin cancer that caused reggae musician’s demise – was in fact not caused by the sun.

Bob Marley’s soon Ziggy has previously implied his Father was killed, saying in a 2013 interview about the death: “I don’t know what to believe … there are a lot of theories.”

85-yr-old Cameroonian President, Paul Biya to run for 7th term in office

President Paul Biya of Cameroun has declared to run election for the 7th time in office after already spending 36 years in power. President Paul Biya will run for re-election in October, he said on Friday.

He is aiming to extend his 36-year rule and maintain his place on a shortening roster of long-standing African leaders.

Mr Biya, who came to power in 1982 when his predecessor, Ahmadou Ahidjo, retired, is seeking a seventh term in office that could see the 85-year-old rule well into his 90s.

It would leave him in rare company after former Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe and Gambia’s Yahya Jammeh were ousted in 2017.

Of Africa’s living rulers, only Equatorial Guinea’s President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo has ruled uninterrupted for longer.

“I am willing to respond positively to your overwhelming calls. I will stand as Your Candidate in the upcoming presidential election,” Mr Biya said in a tweet on Friday.

Mr Biya, who has ruled virtually by decree since taking office, scrapped term limits from the constitution in 2008, allowing him to run again and sparking riots in which over 40 people were killed.

The election, scheduled on October 7, comes at a turbulent time for the Central African country and for Biya.

A separatist insurgency in the western English-speaking regions has killed 84 troops in September 2018, while a drop in the price of its key cocoa and oil exports has weighed on the economy.

Ronaldo agrees to serve 2 yrs in Jail for Tax fraud

Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has reached a deal with the Spanish tax authorities to serve two years in prison in a tax evasion case.

The El Mundo Newspaper reported on Friday that the player would also pay 18.8 million euro (16.41 million pounds) fine.

According to the publication, Ronaldo accepted four fiscal offences before the tax authorities, each of which carries a punishment of six months in prison.

But, Ronaldo is unlikely to serve any time in jail under the deal because Spanish law states that a sentence of under two years for a first offence can be served on probation.

The 33-year old Portuguese footballer, who is accused of evading 14.7 million euros in taxes, has denied all the allegations through his agents.

The news dropped just hours before Portugal’s opening match of the World Cup against Spain.
